Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking a Lead Infant Guide to shape a nurturing, Montessori infant classroom for ages 0–3. You’ll prepare the environment, observe children, and provide individualized care that honors each child’s rhythm and development.

You’ll collaborate with families and the classroom team to foster independence, movement, and discovery, while supporting continuous Montessori certification through our Sponsored Montessorian Institute.

Qualifications

• Interest in pursuing Montessori certification or prior diploma.
• Experience with children ages 0–3 in group care.
• Alignment with child-led education (Montessori/Reggio).
• ECE or Child Development credits required.
• Bachelor’s degree in child-related field.

Responsibilities

• Observe each child to support their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Respect each child’s natural rhythms for sleeping, eating, and toileting.
• Prepare and maintain an orderly environment that fosters movement and exploration.
• Support independence by encouraging children to participate in care activities.
• Build warm relationships with children and families.
• Partner with parents to support growth.
• Lead and collaborate with classroom team to create a respectful community.
