Job summary

Mancan is seeking a Protective Coatings Industrial Painter Specialist (Lead Painter) in Cleveland, OH. This hands-on lead role requires applying military and industrial CARC coatings while guiding a small team of 1–2 painters.

You will oversee racking, masking, painting, and inspection per work instructions and customer specs, ensure quality, manage spray systems (HVLP/pressure pot), and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of industrial painting experience.
• Experience with military or aerospace coatings preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a 1–2 person team.
• Apply coatings using HVLP or pressure pot spray systems (CARC coatings).
• Review and follow detailed work instructions and customer specifications.
• Perform post-paint inspection for coverage, defects, and compliance.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
