Job summary

Vitro Flat Glass is seeking an Industrial Mechanic Lead to oversee a highly skilled maintenance team in a 24/7 glass production environment. You will perform advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance, while coordinating daily tasks and mentoring trainees to minimize downtime and uphold safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3+ years of Industrial Mechanic experience, excellent diagnostic abilities, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Industrial Mechanic or Maintenance Technician experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Welding/fabrication and machining experience.
• Experience in glass or continuous-process manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled diagnostic, repair, installation, and fabrication work on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions, including during emergency breakdowns.
• Lead and coordinate maintenance tasks across assigned shift and mentor trainees.
• Maintain documentation, logs, and shift‑handoff notes.
• Coordinate with operations and other departments to prioritize work.
