Job summary

Ambassador Personnel is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Supervisor for our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. This direct-hire opportunity offers a competitive benefits package, including 401(k) and vacation benefits.

The role will lead hourly maintenance staff, coordinate PM activities, support hiring and coaching, and ensure safe, reliable plant operations. Strong knowledge of SAP and prior industrial maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage hourly maintenance employees on shift.
• Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance activities and respond to line calls.
• Support hiring, reviews, coaching, training, and disciplinary processes.
• Communicate shift priorities with incoming and outgoing shifts.
• Review parts requests and manage parts checked out during shifts.
• Use SAP to review work requests, PM orders, and breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and execute small-scale maintenance projects.
• Train and coach maintenance technicians and apprentices.
• Promote safety, quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety requirements, and operating procedures.
• Maintain or obtain licenses for boilers, refrigeration components, and other equipment.
