Job summary

City of Boise seeks a senior instrumentation technician to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide range of industrial instrumentation and control systems at wastewater facilities and public works utilities.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 6 years of experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining instrumentation. Licenses in electrical specialties and the ability to obtain a wastewater certification within six months are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 years of experience installing, repairing and maintaining industrial instrumentation and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair on industrial process instruments and control devices per codes and site standards.
• Create and maintain detailed maintenance records in asset management systems.
• Lead and train staff, provide guidance in the absence of a supervisor, and ensure safe operations.
