Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is representing a growing industrial automation and systems integration company seeking a Controls Systems Engineer.

This position designs, programs, integrates, tests, and commissions automation systems for manufacturing and process control in the Pacific Northwest. The role blends office engineering with field startup at customer sites across the region, with opportunities for professional growth and a competitive salary in the 65k-120k range and performance

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or related field.
Hands-on PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley platforms.
Experience developing HMI and SCADA applications.
Knowledge of EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profibus, Profinet, and serial communications.
Familiarity with UL 508A, NEC, NFPA 79 standards.
Strong troubleshooting and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

Design industrial control systems using electrical schematics and panel layouts.
Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications for industrial automation projects.
Program and troubleshoot PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, GE, Modicon, Koyo).
Configure and commission VFDs, soft starters, motor controllers.
Test, startup, and field troubleshoot automation systems.
Coordinate with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Maintain compliance with electrical and industrial standards.
