Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Automation & Controls Engineer to design, program, troubleshoot, and support advanced electrical and industrial automation systems in a manufacturing setting.

The role leads projects from concept through commissioning, covering PLC/HMI development, electrical controls, robotics, motion control, and data acquisition. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in electrical controls or industrial automation, strong PLC/HMI experience (Allen-Bradley

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
4+ years in electrical controls/industrial automation in manufacturing.
Strong PLC/HMI programming experience (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred).
Experience with NEC/NFPA/OSHA/RIA safety standards.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and debug PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, AC/DC drives, and electrical control systems.
Lead electrical automation projects from concept through commissioning.
Evaluate and select electrical hardware and software for production automation.
Design electrical control panels, machine safety systems, and control circuits in compliance with NEC, NFPA 79, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and RIA standards.
Develop PLC/HMI applications to improve throughput, equipment reliability, and eliminate bottlenecks.
Integrate robotics into automated production systems.
Develop and integrate data acquisition systems with SQL-based reporting tools.
Perform root cause analysis and provide electrical/controls support for maintenance and production troubleshooting.
Create and maintain electrical schematics, control panel designs, technical documentation, and equipment specifications.
