Job summary

On-Board Engineering is hiring a Construction Manager to support safe, compliant, and efficient execution of engineering, construction, and manufacturing improvement initiatives within an operating facility in Belle Mead, NJ.

You will oversee day-to-day construction activities, coordinate contractors, monitor progress, and ensure work meets project requirements while collaborating with Production, Maintenance, Planning, Logistics, Quality, and EHS teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or relevant certification.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial construction.
• Experience managing packaging line projects.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision and coordination of construction activities within an operating manufacturing facility.
• Ensure alignment between construction activities and site stakeholders.
• Develop and adjust construction work plans to support on-schedule, within-budget execution.
• Provide progress reporting and identify delays or execution issues.
• Develop mitigation plans for schedule, productivity, or field execution concerns.
• Coordinate contractors and subcontractors performing construction and installation activities.
• Conduct field inspections and quality checks to meet project requirements.
• Review contractor progress and invoices.
• Verify permits are in place and ensure safe work practices.
• Monitor construction progress and contractor productivity.
• Manage punch lists, turnover, and closeout activities.
