Job summary

On-Board Engineering is hiring a Civil Structural Engineer in Baton Rouge to support multidisciplinary EPCM projects. You will lead structural and civil design, develop calculations, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant project delivery.

The role requires a PE license, a Civil/Structural degree (Master's preferred), and 5–8 years of relevant experience. Hybrid office/field work and collaboration with multiple disciplines are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; PE license required.
• 5-8 years of structural/civil engineering experience, EPCM or consulting environment preferred.
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC codes.
• Experience with design software: STAAD, SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support structural and civil design efforts for EPCM projects.
• Develop and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, process disciplines and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including EOR when applicable.
• Manage project deliverables, schedules, and budgets with project managers.
• Conduct site visits and provide construction support as needed.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings; mentor junior engineers.
• Support business development with proposal preparation.
