Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine seeks a Professor of Small Animal Veterinary Surgery (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) to join a dynamic faculty dedicated to excellence in veterinary education. The role emphasizes teaching, scholarly activity, and service within a collaborative, innovative environment.

Based in Cabot, Arkansas, the position offers a flexible, non-tenure track contract model with opportunities for part-time arrangements.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Board certification by ACVS/ABVS or progress toward certification.
• Master's and/or doctoral degree preferred.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred; leadership and scholarly activities are valued.

Responsibilities

• Teach surgery principles and clinical application to students.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publications.
• Participate in curriculum development, delivery, assessment, and enhancement.
• Provide service by serving on committees and engaging in community outreach.
• Mentor students and support learning across classrooms, labs, and simulation centers.
• Contribute to One Health initiatives and interprofessional collaboration.
• Provide medical services to partners of the veterinary school when applicable.
• Promote Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine's mission and collaborative culture.
