Job summary

aiLegal, an immigration law firm powered by AI, seeks a Managing Attorney to lead and practice hands-on while directing a team of attorneys and paralegals. The role demands deep subject-matter expertise across business and family immigration, humanitarian relief, and federal litigation, plus supervising hearings, detention relief, and ICE reporting.

You will be accountable for direct case work, team leadership, productivity benchmarks, and timely filings using Jira dashboards.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an ABA accredited U.S. law school and an active license in good standing.
• 7+ years of immigration law experience.
• Strong courtroom advocacy and litigation skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to triage and assign cases effectively between case managers and attorneys.
• Familiarity with Jira or equivalent project/case management tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead attorney on complex matters in business, family, humanitarian, removal defense, and federal litigation.
• Manage and update case pipelines using aiLegal’s proprietary AI platform and case management software.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure all filings are timely and compliant with court and USCIS requirements.
• Coordinate and manage attorneys for USCIS interviews, court appearances, and ICE reporting.
• Review and sign filings, providing legal strategy and quality assurance.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture with clear expectations and feedback.
• Collaborate with operations to improve SOPs and streamline workflows.

Education
