Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Lead MES/Digital Manufacturing Business Analyst to partner with our El Paso manufacturing site. You will apply hands-on MES experience with Inductive Automation Ignition to design, enhance, and deploy Ignition-based MES solutions across plants as part of the Digital Manufacturing Tiger Team.

As a bridge between operations, IT/OT, and delivery teams, you will elicit requirements, drive standardization, and ensure solutions align with ISA-95/UNS standards and cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in manufacturing, industrial IT, or MES environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including production execution, OEE and performance metrics, downtime tracking, and quality processes.
• Experience working in IT/OT integrated environments and translating complex shopfloor processes into clear requirements.
• No relocation benefit; candidates within a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with manufacturing, operations, quality, and IT stakeholders to understand current-state processes and future-state MES needs; elicit, document, and manage business and functional requirements for Ignition-based MES solutions.
• Translate operational use cases into clear user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria; validate requirements align with business objectives and are understandable to solution designers.
• Identify opportunities for standardization and solution-template reuse across plants while balancing site-specific needs.
• Support the configuration and deployment of Ignition MES modules—Production Dispatch & Execution, Production Tracking, Performance Analytics (OEE), Data Collection, Product Definition, Resource Management, Quality Execution, and Inventory Execution.
• Collaborate with technical teams on Ignition Perspective/Vision UI requirements, data modeling and tag structures (UNS), and integration with PLCs, historians, ERP (e.g., SAP, Mapics), and other boundary systems.
• Coordinate use cases and test scenarios with the customer to ensure end-to-end user acceptance testing is complete; support role-based training, super-users/SMEs, go-live, and post go-live stabilization.
