Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Lead Hydrogen Sulfide Plant Operator to operate and maintain the Hydrogen Sulfide Treatment Plant in compliance with regulatory requirements. You will lead daily activities, train staff, collect data, and coordinate preventive maintenance with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires supervisory experience, chemical plant know-how, PLC/SCADA familiarity, and strong problem-solving skills. On-site, with overtime and on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a related setting.
• 3 years landfill experience or equivalent technical certificate.
• Experience with mechanical work and electrical diagnostics.
• Able to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and drawings.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA and other controls systems.
• Proficient in data entry with MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of Hydrogen Plant Operators.
• Train operators on proper operating procedures and conduct observations.
• Complete incident reporting including investigations and root cause analyses.
• Collect samples and record data from control systems; evaluate data for day-to-day decisions.
• Maintain historical data and use CMMS for work orders.
• Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment and controls per specs.
• Respond to malfunctions; operate on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Collaborate with landfill staff to ensure plant and landfill success.
