Job summary
CDM Smith is seeking a Hydraulic Structures Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team on flood protection, water supply, and wastewater projects. You will contribute to design and analysis of hydraulic structures, lead engineers, and collaborate across environments ranging from transportation to water systems in the United States and beyond.
The role offers partial remote schedules and opportunities to mentor junior staff while helping deliver world‑class solutions for critical infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
- PE license required.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and design hydraulic structures for flood control, hydroelectric and water resources projects.
- Lead project teams of structural engineers and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Prepare project proposals, budgets and schedules.
- Perform engineering services during construction and review submittals.
- Conduct inspections and prepare technical reports.
- Present technical findings to project teams and clients.
