Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Hydraulic Structures Engineer to design hydraulic systems for flood control and water resources. You will lead cross-functional teams on complex projects across ENvironment, Industry, Transportation, and Water sectors in the United States and beyond.

The role requires a PE license, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and 10 years of experience. Partial remote schedules are available and travel may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
Professional engineering (PE) license.
10 years of related experience.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Analyze and design hydraulic structures for flood control and water resources.
Lead project teams and coordinate with multi-disciplinary groups.
Prepare project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
Conduct risk analyses and present findings to stakeholders.
Review designs to ensure code compliance and quality.
Monitor budgets and project schedules.
Support business development and recruiting activities.
