Job summary

CDM Smith is a multi-discipline engineering and architectural firm seeking a Hydraulic Structures Engineer. You will grow your career within a collaborative team working on flood protection, water supply and wastewater projects across the United States.

You will lead design efforts, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and present technical analyses. Partial remote options are available as part of a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineer (PE) license.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design hydraulic structures for flood control and water resources
• Lead project teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary groups
• Prepare proposals, scopes, budgets and schedules
• Review shop drawings and respond to contractor questions during construction
• Conduct inspections and assessments of existing structures
• Present technical results to project teams and clients
• Support business development, marketing and recruiting efforts
