Job summary

New Mexico Gas Company seeks a strategic Supervisor, Hydraulic Modeling to lead hydraulic modeling for our natural gas transmission and distribution system. You will oversee model development, evaluate growth impacts, and drive reliability and compliance across projects.

You will manage a team of engineers, coordinate with Gas Supply and Engineering, and ensure adherence to engineering standards. Office-based with possible field data tasks; on-call support may be required.

Qualifications

• A BET-accredited engineering degree in a listed field.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 4 years of applicable experience in the role or similar position.
• 3 years of direct supervision and/or leading projects.
• Preference for hydraulic modeling experience in the natural gas industry; EIT or PE in NM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and mentors engineers performing hydraulic modeling analyses and consulting.
• Leads development of forecast models and planning analyses for IRP and system expansion.
• Provides guidance on advanced hydraulic modeling techniques and project leadership.
• Ensures compliance with engineering standards and budgets; supports budgeting and capital planning.
• Coordinates with Gas Supply, Engineering and Gas Control to support reliability and growth.
• Provides on-call hydraulic modeling support for outages and emergency response.
