New Mexico Gas Company seeks a strategic Supervisor, Hydraulic Modeling to lead analysis and planning for safe, reliable gas transmission and distribution systems.

You will oversee hydraulic models, guide infrastructure decisions, and manage a team of engineers and analysts, driving excellence in reliability and compliance. Strong leadership and advanced modeling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited program (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Petroleum, Metallurgy/Material Science, Electrical or Construction)
• 4 years of experience in related duties
• 3 years of direct experience supervising a team or leading projects
• Preference: hydraulic modeling in natural gas industry; EIT/PE NM preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees and supervises engineers providing hydraulic modeling analysis and consultation
• Develops forecast models and planning analyses to support IRP and system expansion
• Leads modeling assignments and coordinates data for complex issues
• Ensures compliance with hydraulic modeling standards and coordinates software maintenance
• Supports budgeting, O&M, and capital construction projects with hydraulic modeling data
• Coordinates with Gas Management, Engineering, and Gas Control to ensure reliability and growth plans
• Provides on-call hydraulic modeling support for outages and incident analysis
• Assists in model validation using SCADA data and real-time inputs
• Mentors team members and coordinates third-party training on hydraulic modeling practices
