Job summary

Geosyntec invites a Mid-Career Water Resources Engineer to join our hydraulic practice remotely from a home office, supporting our Dams and Levees capabilities across the region. You will lead and mentor staff, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and deliver complex hydraulic analyses from dams to spillways.

You will perform modeling, risk assessment, and design tasks, collaborate with clients, and contribute to business development while traveling for site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years (7+ preferred) of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Experience with project management and business development.
• Excellent leadership and detail oriented.
• Experience performing hydrologic studies for dams and probabilistic flood hazard analyses.
• Experience with modeling tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1-D and 2-D).
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Ability to travel for site visits and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydraulic engineering projects for dams and levees.
• Perform hydraulic modeling and dam safety reviews.
