Position Summary

The HVAC Manager will schedule, oversee, and sometimes perform installation, qualification, and maintenance of plumbing, gas, heating, ventilation, and refrigerant-based units across all BioSpectra facilities.

Major Roles and Responsibilities

1. Organize and lead a team of HVAC technicians and plumbers.
2. Schedule the installation of new heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigerant-based units.
3. Schedule the installation of ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC systems.
4. Schedule routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure proper operation.
5. Inspect and troubleshoot issues with existing HVAC units.
6. Schedule the installation of replacement parts on existing HVAC units.
7. Review part lists submitted by direct reports.
8. Ensure compliance with company and industry safety standards.
9. Coordinate with other trades for effective communication during project execution.
10. Assist the maintenance department with qualified processes and related equipment.
11. Support the qualification of new processes and equipment.
12. Assist in performing scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment.
13. Support other operational employees as needed.
14. Maintain good housekeeping practices.
15. Wear appropriate PPE for duties performed.
16. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of vocational school, technical college, apprenticeship program, or at least three years of on-the-job experience.
• Experience with industrial/commercial HVAC operations.
• Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
• Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
• Proper care and use of trade tools.
• Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.
• Manual dexterity, good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to learn cGMP and safety programs.
