Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Lead HVAC Mechanic to install, repair, and maintain a range of HVAC equipment across critical environments. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of progressive HVAC experience, a High School Diploma, EPA Universal Certification, and eligibility for required HVAC certifications.

Qualifications

• 4 years of progressive, hands-on HVAC experience within the past 7 years.
• High School Diploma required.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• One of the following HVAC certifications required: UA Star HVAC Mastery Certification or Real ID/Passport.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment across critical environments.
• Perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance at a journeyman level.
• Mentor and lead technicians, assign work orders, and ensure compliance with operational requirements.
• Lead and oversee complex HVAC systems and ensure timely, quality service.

Insight Global is seeking a Lead HVAC Mechanic for a leading facilities management client. Responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of HVAC equipment at a journeyman level of service including air-conditioning equipment, refrigeration equipment, HVAC control systems, and more. This individual will operate at a journeyman level, handling complex HVAC systems across a critical environment while also taking on leadership responsibilities. The role involves not only hands-on technical work—such as installation, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance—but also mentoring technicians, assigning work orders, and ensuring all systems meet strict operational requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HVAC professional looking to step into a leadership role while maintaining strong technical involvement in a stable, long-term opportunity.

Must-Haves:

• Minimum 4 years of progressive, hands-on experience within the past 7 years
• High School Diploma
• EPA Universal Certification
• One of the following HVAC certifications:
• UA Star HVAC Mastery Certification
• Real ID or Passport

Plusses:

• Prior experience leading or mentoring junior HVAC technicians
• Experience in government or highly regulated facilities
• Strong familiarity with HVAC control systems
• Welding and fabrication experience
