East Dayton Metro is seeking a Lead HVAC Service Technician to perform advanced service, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on residential and light commercial systems. You will work independently, deliver excellent customer service, and mentor teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of HVAC service experience.
• EPA Section 608 certification required.
• NATE certification preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service, and technical skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle complex service calls.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Interest in professional growth and leadership opportunities.
• Able to pass background screening and drug testing.

JOB SUMMARY

The Lead HVAC Service Technician performs advanced service, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on residential and light commercial HVAC systems.

This position requires a highly skilled, dependable technician who can work independently, deliver exceptional customer service, and serve as a technical leader within the organization.

As the company grows, this position offers the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities in technician development, field operations, and service and installation management.

JOB DUTIES

• Services, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoots complex HVAC malfunctions and determines appropriate repair solutions.
• Provides customers with clear explanations of system conditions, repair options, and recommendations.
• Identifies opportunities for system improvements and replacements while maintaining a customer-first approach.
• Maintains high standards of workmanship, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
• Assists with HVAC installations and provides technical support when needed.
• Helps establish and maintain company service procedures and quality standards.
• Serves as a technical resource and mentor to other technicians as the team expands.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and properly stocked company vehicle.
• Maintains a neat work area, uses floor protection in customers' homes, and ensures cleanliness after every job.
• Demonstrates a safety-conscious attitude on the job and while operating company vehicles.
• Works collaboratively with company leadership to improve service operations and overall customer experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of successful HVAC service experience preferred.
• Strong residential HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and confidently handle complex service calls.
• EPA Section 608 certification required.
• NATE certification preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service, and technical skills.
• Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and personal accountability.
• Interest in professional growth and future leadership opportunities.
• Ability to pass applicable background screening and drug testing.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
