Job summary

Snelling Georgia Group seeks an experienced HVAC technician to install and maintain components used in campus HVAC systems, including chillers, refrigeration and air handling equipment. You will direct lower level mechanics and collaborate with supervisors, managers and vendors.

The role requires interpreting prints, troubleshooting controls, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation of systems. On‑site work and occasional after‑hours support may be required.

Qualifications

• Four years of job related experience.
• Universal CFC Refrigerant Recovery License.
• Position may require working around rotating machinery, live electrical circuits, hazardous materials, high-pressure liquids and gas, and hot surfaces.
• May require lifting objects up to 75 pounds, and working in confined spaces, noisy environments, and elevated locations, either inside or outside of a building.
• May require extensive after hours work or call‑backs.
• Job may require wearing a full‑face respirator.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain HVAC components and related equipment including chilled water systems, refrigeration, air compressors, gas heaters, air dryers, fume hoods, and pumps.
• Provide work direction to lower level mechanics and maintenance personnel.
• Interact with maintenance supervision and staff, building managers and vendors.
• Advise and counsel lower level mechanics and maintenance workers.
• Install, repair, replace, operate, maintain, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components used in HVAC.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, electrical, and digital controls.
• May involve purchasing HVAC parts and materials.
• Provide work direction to HVAC installation and maintenance teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
