First Choice in Metuchen, NJ is growing and we’re adding HVAC Install Technicians to our team. You will lead, mentor, and train installers, oversee the installation of residential HVAC systems, and ensure workmanship meets high standards.

This role requires 3+ years in installation, strong communication, blueprint literacy, Service Titan experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift heavy equipment. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC installation experience.
• Proven leadership and ability to mentor junior installers.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC installations (AC, furnaces, heat pumps, ductless systems).
• Experience with Service Titan or similar software is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and installation manuals.
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail and safety.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and train HVAC installers to ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Install residential HVAC systems including central air, furnaces, heat pumps, and ductless minisplits.
• Conduct system startup and testing to verify functionality.
• Serve as primary contact for homeowners and provide expert recommendations.
• Identify and resolve issues during installation to maintain performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety policies.
• Document job details and maintain customer records in Service Titan.
• Coordinate with warehouse for timely material availability.
• Identify and implement best practices to improve efficiency and service quality.
