Job summary

Shapiro & Duncan, Inc. is hiring an HVAC Installation Technician in Washington, DC. The role leads installation teams, reports to the project Foreman, and ensures quality craftsmanship and proper materials handling.

Required are 5+ years in HVAC, a high school diploma or GED (advanced HVAC training preferred), CFC certification, and OSHA10. Prolonged physical work and night/weekend shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the HVAC trade.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED; advanced HVAC training.
• Licenses: CFC Certification (Universal preferred) or obtain in a timely manner; HVAC Journeyman; NATE Certifications; OSHA10.

Responsibilities

• Layout and prepare tools and materials for upcoming work.
• Refer to drawings, specifications and installation manuals to determine materials and methods.
• Coordinate with foreman and subcontractors on work.
• Supervise materials and workforce.
• Assemble material lists to solicit quotes from vendors.
• Review plans and specifications to understand scope, inclusions and exclusions.
