Role Purpose

Are you ready to lead the charge in creating high-quality partnerships between the People Team and Leaders at Capricorn? This role is all about providing exceptional support for complex and sensitive people management issues, fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive culture, and ultimately enhancing the employee experience. You'll work closely with the General Manager People & Capability, the People Services & Talent Manager, senior leaders, and executive teams to align HR activities with organizational goals and timelines.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

As the HR Business Partner, you'll be the go-to person for strategic, advisory, and operational HR support throughout the employment lifecycle. You'll build strong relationships with people leaders, becoming a trusted advisor and business partner. Your role will involve:

• HR Business Partnering: Providing strategic HR support, building stakeholder relationships, ensuring HR policies are followed, and delivering relevant HR data and analytics.

• Excellence in HR Business Partnering: Leading high-level projects, developing HR strategies, partnering with executive leaders, and mentoring junior team members.

• Leadership: Leading and motivating a team of HR Business Partners, providing coaching and support, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.

Capabilities Required

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes: Extensive knowledge of HR management principles, strong influencing and communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, innovative thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Experience: At least 5 years of demonstrated business partnering capabilities, experience managing competing priorities, and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

• Qualifications: A tertiary level HR management qualification or similar, sufficient to gain member status of the Australian Human Resource Institute.
