Job summary

LS Solutions in San Jose, CA is seeking a Human Factors Engineer to lead UXD/HF activities for in‑vitro diagnostic analyzers and related systems. You will interface with customers, guide HF processes, and coach cross‑functional teams to balance user needs, business constraints, and technical capabilities.

Required 5 years of industry experience and a BS (or higher) in Engineering/HF/Ergonomics or related field.

Qualifications

• Experience with regulated products (FDA, IEC 62366).
• Experience with products combining software and hardware.
• Experience with writing human factors plans and reports.
• Experience in design and development of medical devices in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to influence HF methods across cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition, design, and execution of UXD/HF activities across product development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to update UXD/HF processes for products.
• Represent customers' needs to cross‑functional teams and leaders.
• Teach HF processes to teams and guide vendors/contractors for usability work.
• Coordinate usability testing, use error analyses, and regulatory HF/UE work.
