Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an HSE Engineer to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives for a major Boise, ID project. You will ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations while promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

The role requires a proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to conduct risk assessments, lead audits, and coordinate with the Construction Manager to maintain a high level of safety on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HSE experience on complex industrial/construction projects.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, EHS or related.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA requirements.
• Experience creating and governing contractor safety programs for construction projects.
• Ability to work 4pm - Midnight (2nd Shift), occasional weekends; Water/Wastewater/Oil & Gas experience preferred.
• CSP, CIH, CHMM certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and other regulations.
• Prepare reports, permits, and documentation for regulators.
• Lead audits, inspections, and investigations to drive improvement.
• Coordinate with Construction Manager on site safety.
• Maintain risk management and conduct risk assessments.
• Promote EHS activities and raise safety awareness on site.
• Lead safety training and safety promotion programs.
• Measure and report safety performance and trends.
• Oversee and implement Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans.
• Investigate near misses and incidents and recommend preventive actions.
