Job summary

East High is seeking an experienced HS Head Boys Swimming Coach (Stipend) to lead the district's boys swimming program. The role includes planning and implementing practice schedules, coaching athletes, and ensuring compliance with district policies and athletic procedures.

The ideal candidate holds a Iowa coaching endorsement, strong communication skills, and leadership experience. This is a part-time stipend position headquartered in Des Moines, IA, with responsibilities spanning all season

Qualifications

• Valid Iowa Coaching Endorsement or Coaching Authorization
• Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
• Coaching and/or leadership experience
• Bachelor’s degree in education, coaching, or related field
• CDL knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

• Serves as the leader and manager for the athletic program
• Develops a regular practice schedule and organizes practice time for development
• Coaches and instructs players on rules, equipment, and techniques
• Follows district regulations governing the athletic program
• Maintains written standards of student behavior and supervises athletes
