Job summary

IREN is seeking a Senior Data Center Technician in Childress, TX to oversee GPU servers, storage and network hardware in a high-density data center environment. You will lead deployments, perform diagnostics, and coordinate infrastructure changes across multi-site operations, while mentoring junior technicians.

Ideal candidates have expert hardware knowledge (Dell, Cisco, Juniper), strong documentation, and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

Expert-level knowledge of server and network hardware from major vendors.
Experience with data center infrastructure, cabling, PDUs, CRACs and UPS.
Strong documentation and ability to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

Lead deployment, configuration, and maintenance of GPU servers and network hardware.
Perform advanced diagnostics and root cause analysis for hardware issues.
Coordinate infrastructure changes and upgrades across multi-site environments.
Monitor power, cooling and environmental systems; escalate complex issues.
Mentor junior technicians and ensure proper documentation.
