Job summary

Residence Inn San Diego Downtown/Gaslamp owned by Island Hospitality Management seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily housekeeping operations, assign work, and ensure guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness and brand standards.

Candidates should have at least 2 years’ hotel housekeeping experience with supervisory background, knowledge of procedures and scheduling, and basic to intermediate computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel); weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in hotel housekeeping
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, productivity standards, scheduling, and labor cost control
• Basic to intermediate computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Motivated team player with initiative
• Ability to handle problems and work under pressure
• Customer-focused and guest service oriented

Responsibilities

• Lead daily housekeeping operations and assign work to the team
• Inspect rooms, public spaces, and facilities for cleanliness and brand compliance
• Train and onboard new room attendants and staff
• Monitor room readiness and coordinate with Front Desk for check-in readiness
• Maintain inventory and supplies, assist with ordering
• Communicate guest requests and maintenance needs to the team
• Foster a collaborative work environment and recognize team achievements
