Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate standard household equipment (dishwasher, iron, vacuum, washer, dryer).
• Knowledge of assisted living or dementia care is helpful.
• Ability to interact patiently with seniors and cognitively impaired residents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the housekeeping department and programs.
• Supervise housekeeping staff to meet community standards.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed when using equipment and chemicals.
• Conduct in-service trainings for team members.
• Perform weekly inspections of resident rooms, corridors, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and order.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.
• Schedule coverage during absences and delegate tasks as needed.
• Order equipment, supplies, and linens for the department.
• Manage resident housekeeping and laundry scheduling.
• Clean resident apartments and common areas as required.
• Stock and secure carts; ensure chemicals are inaccessible to residents.
• Maintain infection control practices and SDS documentation.
• Assist in budgeting and department policies with the Maintenance Director.
• Hire, evaluate, and supervise department staff per company policy.
