Job summary

GRMC Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, MD, is seeking a housekeeping supervisor to lead environmental services associates in maintaining clean, safe and orderly patient-care areas. The role includes enforcing cleaning standards, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring supplies are stocked.

This full-time, non-exempt position offers 40 hours per week, with a pay range of $15.68 to $23.51 per hour and shift differentials where applicable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitors housekeeping activities in assigned area(s) to ensure proper cleaning, servicing and stocking of supplies, the completion of work schedules and supervisory instructions; reporting problems as necessary.
  • Performs housekeeping duties including sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, vacuuming and trash removal.
  • Ensures all supplies, materials and equipment are available in assigned work area for proper performance of duties; report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Reports need for repair to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures.
  • Assists in training employees in proper cleaning techniques and use of supplies, materials and equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** :**

Leads environmental services associates in performing a variety of environmental services to maintain assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

  3. Capable of wearing appropriate PPE for an extended period of time

  4. Must be able to read and follow written work assignments.
