Job summary

La Grande Boucherie - Washington DC is seeking a Lead Host/ Maître D to warmly welcome guests, guide them to their tables, and introduce menus and servers. You will organize reservations and arrange table assignments across the floor, while directing hosts with clear communication throughout shifts.

The ideal candidate excels in people skills, is outgoing, organized, and able to multitask, with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous Host experience in a quality restaurant.
• Familiarity with OpenTable.
• Customer-oriented approach and patience.
• Excellent people skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm welcome to guests as they arrive.
• Escort guests to their table and introduce the menus and assigned server.
• Manage guest reservations and arrange table assignments for the entire floor plan.
• Coordinate with hosts during shifts and communicate directions clearly.
• Assist with hosting duties for special events and ensure smooth seating flow.

We are looking forwarm and inviting Lead Hosts / Maitre D'.

Our Lead Hosts provide a warm welcome to guests entering La Grande Boucherie, guide guests to their table, provide introduction to the menus and assigned server, and offering a genuine farewell and gratitude to departing guests. In addition, Lead Hosts areresponsible for organizing guest reservations, special events, and arranging table assignments for the entire floor plan, while giving clear directions to the hosts throughout each shift.
