Job summary

The Black Women's Mental Health Institute seeks a compassionate Lead Caregiver / LNA / CNA to provide in-home, non-medical support to older adults in the Nashua area. You will help residents maintain independence and dignity while delivering person-centered care.

You will assist with personal care and daily activities, coordinate with the care team, report changes, mentor other caregivers, and uphold safety and empathy in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Valid experience/credentials as a caregiver (LNA/CNA) or equivalent.
• Strong empathy, patience, and dedication to senior-centered care.
• Ability to support ADLs, mobility, and daily living tasks safely.
• Comfort with medication reminders and clear communication.
• Leadership mindset with the ability to coach and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, mobility support, meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
• Offer meaningful companionship and respectful, relationship-based support.
• Coordinate and follow care plans, while remaining alert to changes in client condition.
• Report concerns and updates to the care team.
