Job summary

KB Home seeks an experienced Superintendent/Construction Manager to lead the full homebuilding process, from groundbreaking to close, within an assigned community. You will ensure profitability, manage trade partners and inspectors, and uphold the highest standards of quality assurance and customer satisfaction during construction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelor's preferred.
• Construction Management vocational degree or certificate preferred.
• Minimum one year as a Construction Manager or Superintendent in the homebuilding industry.
• 2-5 years of construction experience with a production homebuilder preferred.
• Strong customer service, leadership, and people skills.
• Action-oriented with a drive to push projects to successful closure.
• Customer-centric by seeking solutions from the customer’s perspective.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Team-oriented with collaboration across departments.
• Decision-making based on facts, data, and metrics.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct KB staff and trade partners in constructing quality homes.
• Manage milestone reports and ensure homes are completed per schedule.
• Schedule and monitor trade partners; ensure safety and policies.
• Approve purchase orders and invoices; maintain quality and timeliness.
• Maintain subdivision cleanliness; hold trade partners accountable.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Sales, Studio, Purchasing and other departments.
• Strive for superior customer service; 100% of deliveries signed off by homebuyers.
• Resolve customer or construction concerns; orientations with buyers.
