Job summary

Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity is seeking a Construction Crew Leader for a one-year AmeriCorps service position. You will lead groups of volunteers and homeowner families in hands-on construction, while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment and building your volunteer management and construction skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national or lawful permanent resident aged 18 or older.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Ability to work full-time in person in Tacoma, WA.
• Experience working on a team and strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of volunteers and homeowner families in construction activities.
• Maintain a safe, efficient work site and supervise tasks.
• Assist with hands-on construction tasks including demolition, framing, insulation, drywall, roofing and landscaping.
• Coordinate with Habitat staff and provide positive volunteer experiences on site.
