Job summary

ABB is seeking a Project Engineer to serve as the technical lead and design authority for process automation projects across Renewable, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power Generation and Water treatment sectors in the US and globally. The role is hybrid in Cleveland, OH and reports to the Engineering Manager.

You will shape solutions with customers, develop work plans and budgets, and review standard processes to ensure safety, quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Science or other engineering degree.
• 2-5+ years of experience in engineering.
• Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical details, costs and deliverables for sales proposals.
• Lead and act as design authority for process automation projects.
• Develop work plans and budgets, including risk assessments.
• Support contract managers on scope changes and cost/time impacts.
• Coach entry-level engineers and support teams.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
• Ensure safety and quality guidelines are followed.
