Job summary

ABB Inc. in Houston, TX, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead medium to large DCS projects. You will shape solutions, manage technicals at customer sites in the US and abroad, and assist with claims, specs, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 8 years of experience on DCS projects.
5 years of experience in oil, gas, and chemical industries and in DCS/HMI
Experience with Modbus, OPC, and Profibus protocols; scripting and function blocks control narratives
Designing control system hardware panels and Ethernet networking for industrial automation

Responsibilities

Shape and deliver solutions for medium to large complex projects.
Resolve technical issues remotely and at customer sites in US and abroad.
Assist Project Managers with claims, customer specifications, and safety standards.
Execute cost effective DCS project deliverables on time per specs and safety requirements.
Design, test, and commission Automation Enclosures, Control Logic and HMI with ABB or 3rd party systems
