Job summary

Sonic Healthcare USA is hiring for a Second Shift Grossing Lab Technician in Fall River, MA. This full-time role focuses on specimen accessioning, labeling, and gross description of surgical specimens, with emphasis on maintaining specimen integrity and accurate patient IDs.

Minimum education is an associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology. ASCP certification is preferred. Benefits and a supportive team environment are offered.

• ASCP Certification is preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assure appropriate specimen accessioning and labeling.
• Perform gross description and dissection of specimens received.
• Maintain the integrity of the specimen and patient identification.
• Describe gross anatomic features of routine, uncomplicated surgical specimens, ensuring that all lesions, marking and sutures are mentioned.

HOURS: Second Shift Salary range: $40.00 - $48.00 commensurate with experience FULL TIME: Benefits Eligible

In this role, you will:

All you need is:

• Minimum training/education required is an Associate degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory technology ASCP Certified 1 year of experience in grossing, preferred.
