Job summary

East Side Clinical Laboratory, Inc. in East Providence, RI, is seeking a Laboratory Operations professional for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm) to support the patient care process by ensuring specimens are properly processed, routed, and stored.

You will recognize when corrective action is needed, work in a safety-conscious environment with PPE, and contribute to safety, compliance, and quality control while maintaining confidentiality of PHI.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens and ensure proper handling, routing and storage.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement solutions.
• Work in a laboratory with PPE requirements and hazards.
• Support safety, compliance and quality control.

Location: 10 Risho Ave. East Providence, RI Days: Mon-Fri, alternating Saturdays Hours: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm Full-time: Benefit Eligible

In this role, you will:

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process by making sure laboratory specimens are properly processed, prepared, routed, and stored
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
• Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

All you need is:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, centrifuges, and audible alarms.

Bonus points if you’ve got:

• 1 - 2 years of related experience in clinical laboratory, data entry, or production
• Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing
