Responsibilities

• Supervises a crew of Highway Maintenance Workers performing ditching, shoulder machining, pipe operations and asphalt operations.
• Investigates complaints and schedules necessary work, prepares daily and weekly maintenance reports.
• Ensures a safe work zone, including flagging, use of safety equipment, and work near traffic or hazardous materials.
• Provides on-call availability for after-hour emergencies; may work outside normal schedule during inclement weather.
• Assists in disciplinary actions and performance ratings for supervised employees.
