Re:Build Manufacturing in Rochester, NY is seeking a Senior PCB Layout Designer who can lead complex layouts from concept through fabrication. You’ll work with electrical, mechanical, and signal/power integrity engineers on HDI, flex, high‑speed, and high‑current boards, mentoring junior designers and helping establish design standards.

The role requires expert Altium Designer skills, IPC knowledge, and a hands‑on approach to manufacturability, EMI/EMC, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in high‑complexity PCB layout design.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of IPC standards (IPC‑7351, IPC‑2221, IPC‑2222, IPC‑A‑600, IPC‑6012).
• Advanced signal integrity understanding (impedance control, crosstalk, differential signaling).
• Familiarity with multiple fabrication technologies and PCB manufacturing processes.
• Client-facing communication and mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex PCB layouts from concept through fabrication, including stack‑up development and documentation.
• Apply advanced layout principles across high‑speed digital, RF, and high‑power applications.
• Collaborate with SI/PI engineers to meet impedance, loss budgets, and length matching requirements.
• Partner with electrical and mechanical engineers to translate product requirements into design constraints.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, testability, EMI/EMC, and cost while meeting schedules.
• Lead design reviews with stakeholders and generate fabrication packages (ODB++, IPC‑2581, Gerber).
