Job summary

Springfield High School in Springfield, IL is seeking a part-time High School Head Coach for Softball to lead the program this season. The candidate must hold a current valid Professional Educator’s License and supervise a classroom activity for at least two periods daily, or be a retired teacher with a valid license.

Additionally, the role requires IHSA coaching education completion and HeartSaver AED/CPR certification prior to season start.

Qualifications

• Must have a current valid Professional Educator’s License and teaching/supervising/assisting a classroom activity at least two periods daily in a member school
• or Retired teacher from a member school with a current valid Illinois Professional Educator’s License
• or must be at least 19 years of age and complete an IHSA approved coaching education course
• Applicant must also have completed training and be certified in HeartSaver AED/CPR or receive training prior to the start of the season
