Job summary

Mead High School is seeking a dedicated Head Dance Team Coach for Fall 2026-2027 to lead practices from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., supervise athletes, and uphold high standards of sportmanship.

The position includes coordinating with athletic staff and ensuring all documentation and health procedures are completed before the season begins. The role requires a valid First Aid/CPR certification, 21+ years of age, and a preferred Type II Driver's License.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 or older for Head Coach.
• Must have current First Aid/CPR certification or be able to acquire it by the start of the season.
• Type II Driver's License is preferred.
• Understand the activity/sport, its safety practices, techniques, rules, and progression of skill development.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude toward students and the ability to motivate them toward developing a successful program.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes regarding techniques, rules, and safety practices.
• Develops and organizes a practice program; schedule and conduct practices 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Supervise athletes from practice start to finish and during events.
• Promote the school's interscholastic program and align with overall school program.
• Adhere to safety laws and district policies; complete accident reports as needed.
