Job summary

Mead School District is seeking a Head Dance Team Coach for Mead HS in Spokane, WA. The role requires leading the dance program, organizing practices from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and ensuring athlete safety and district policy compliance.

This position emphasizes character development, sportsmanship, and school-community pride. Essential duties include instructing athletes on technique and rules, coordinating with the athletics department, and maintaining records and medical documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have current First Aid/CPR certification or be able to acquire it by the start of the season.
• Type II Driver’s License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes regarding techniques, rules, and safety practices of the sport.
• Develops and organizes a practice program; practices run 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Supervise athletes from practice start to pickup and during activities.
• Promote the school's interscholastic program and maintain alignment with the overall school program.
• Adhere to safety laws and district policies and ensure documentation and medical exams are complete.
