Job summary

Central York High School is seeking a Head Boys Tennis Coach to lead a competitive program and develop student-athletes both on and off the court. You will plan practices, devise match strategies, and foster discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a positive, inclusive team culture.

You will oversee assistant coaches, ensure safety, and maintain records while collaborating with the Athletic Director and school administration to promote academic and athletic excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be organized and have good communication skills.
• Must obtain PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Background Checks.

Responsibilities

• Promote, select, supervise and instruct student-athletes in accordance with District and governing rules.
• Instruct participants using current coaching methods and emphasize health, safety, and sportsmanship.
• Project a positive model and lead with enthusiasm and planning.
• Maintain effective communications with students, parents, staff, and administration.
• Plan and schedule practices in coordination with the Athletic Director.
