Job summary

GLC Business Services is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee high-rise construction projects for one of our construction clients. This role is responsible for leading daily field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of construction supervisory experience.
• Experience managing commercial, multi-family, or high-rise projects preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily on-site construction activities to ensure safety, schedule, and quality.
• Enforce safety policies and manage jobsite cleanliness and subcontractor compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and stakeholders to maintain progress.
• Prepare and maintain project documents: daily reports, schedules, submittals, RFIs, and as-builts.
• Drive schedules via critical path planning and look-ahead scheduling.
• Review subcontractor/vendor scopes to align with project requirements.
• Lead preconstruction and owner meetings and project commissioning.
