Pasco County in Florida seeks a Special Equipment Operator - Field (Utilities) to perform skilled operation of heavy construction and maintenance equipment in public works and utilities projects.

Operates track and wheel excavators, graders, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment with independent judgment as needed. CDL Class A with N Tanker endorsement is required; ability to lift up to 80 pounds is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent completed.
• Four years of utilities/public works maintenance experience, including two years operating heavy equipment.
• Must obtain required certifications within specified timeframes.

Responsabilités

• Operate heavy and complex construction equipment in public works/utilities projects.
• Lead other equipment operators and laborers as assigned.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Complete reports and work orders in required systems.
• Follow safety protocols and traffic regulations at all times.
