Job summary

Pasco County is seeking an Equipment Operator I to perform semiskilled work operating light trucks and maintenance equipment. The role includes manual labor, construction-related tasks, and basic equipment maintenance.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related work experience. CDL Class B with Air Brakes required within 10 days of hire; permanent CDL Class B within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year general work experience involving operation of light maintenance equipment and manual work.
• Construction related manual work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment: flatbed truck, yard dump truck, pickup, water truck, tractor with loader, mowing tractor, water pump, air compressor, chain/cement saws, cement mixers, portable compactors.
• Performs minor repairs on equipment.
• Works in unskilled and semiskilled tasks as needed.
• Performs related work as required.
